Processors: socket, generation and pins
We assess a processor by its exact model (e.g. Core i7-12700K, Ryzen 7 5800X, Xeon, EPYC), socket and generation. The model is engraved on the heat spreader.
AMD AM4 processors carry the pins on the CPU itself, so it matters whether they are bent; Intel and AM5 processors have contact pads. Server processors and engineering samples (ES, QS) are assessed separately.

How equipment is assessed
Electronics lose value quickly: the model, its generation, the specification and whether the device works flawlessly all matter. That is why we ask for the exact model and a few photos rather than a general description.

It can be, but mention it and send a close-up photo. A broken pin changes the assessment more than a bent one.
